What is Quiz FC?
Quiz FC is a free collection of daily football games based on the history of the World Cup. Each game gives you one puzzle a day — the same for everyone — and takes a couple of minutes to play.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and we don't collect personal details. Your settings and which puzzles you've completed are stored only on your own device.
Is it free to play?
Yes, completely. The site is supported by advertising and by readers who choose to support it, so every game stays free with no paywall.
When do new puzzles appear?
Every game refreshes once a day at midnight UTC. You get one attempt at each daily puzzle — once it's finished, it's finished until the next day's puzzle goes live.
Why can I only play once a day?
The daily format is the whole point: because everybody gets the same puzzle and a single attempt, your score is directly and fairly comparable with everyone else. Come back each day for a new one.
How does the share string work?
When you finish a game you can copy a short, spoiler-free summary of how you did — emoji and numbers, never the answers — to paste to friends or social media so they can see your result and try it themselves.
I think an answer is wrong. What do I do?
Tell us. We check the football carefully, but with thousands of records the odd error slips through, and we fix them quickly. Email hello@quiz-fc.com with the game and the date and we'll take a look.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The site works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and desktops — there's no app to download.
How do I turn dark mode (or Ceefax mode) on?
Use the buttons in the top bar. Your choice is remembered on your device for next time.
Is Quiz FC affiliated with FIFA or the World Cup?
No. Quiz FC is an independent fan-made trivia site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to FIFA or any official World Cup organisation.
