The short version
Quiz FC is a free daily football-trivia site. We don't ask you to sign up and we don't collect personal details. Your settings and puzzle progress stay on your own device. We show adverts (Google AdSense) and use a few third-party services to run the site; those are listed below.
Who we are

What we store on your device
The games run entirely in your browser. We use your browser's local storage to remember a few things so the site works — this data never leaves your device and we cannot read it:
- Your theme preference (light / dark / Ceefax).
- Which daily puzzles you've completed today.
- Whether an end-of-game advert has already been shown today (so it isn't repeated).
You can clear this at any time through your browser's “clear site data” option.
Third-party services
We rely on these external services to run and support the site:
- Google AdSense — shows the adverts that keep Quiz FC free. Google may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, and (with your consent) to personalise them. See Google's advertising and privacy policies. Manage your choices via our cookie banner (see the Cookie Policy).
- Cloudflare — hosts and delivers the site. Standard server logs (such as your IP address and request details) are processed to deliver content securely.
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google, which means your IP address is processed by Google to serve them.
- A public time service — we fetch the current date from a public time API so the daily puzzle is the same for everyone and can't be skipped by changing your clock.
- Buy Me a Coffee — if you click the support button you leave for buymeacoffee.com, which is governed by their own privacy policy.
Cookies & consent
In the UK and EEA, advertising cookies are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU GDPR) you have rights over your personal data, such as access, correction and deletion. Because we don't hold accounts or personal records ourselves, most of these apply to the third parties above — but you can always clear your on-device data, adjust your ad-personalisation choices, and contact us at hello@quiz-fc.com with any request.
Children
Quiz FC is a general-audience site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the site evolves; we'll change the “last updated” date above when we do.
