How to play Career Path

Name the footballer from his journey through the Premier League: the clubs he played for, in order.

You see one player's Premier League clubs as a row of club chips, from his first club to his last. A gap marks seasons he spent outside the Premier League, or seasons we have no full record of. Loans count as normal spells.

Search for any Premier League player to make a guess. Each wrong guess reveals more: first the seasons at each club, then his appearances and goals, then his nationality and position, then the year he was born.

Stuck? The Next clue button shows the next reveal straight away, but it uses up one of your six guesses. After five misses you get four names to choose from for your final guess.

Solve it on your first guess for 6 points, on your second for 5, and so on. The share card shows how many guesses you needed without giving the answer away.

Tips

  • Think about who moves between those clubs. A run like Blackburn, Newcastle then Man City narrows the field fast, especially once the seasons appear.
  • Journeymen are fun: a long list of clubs usually means a striker or a reliable midfielder who kept getting a move.
