Which Season?

How to play Which Season?

Three Premier League seasons a day, revealed one clue at a time. Name each season, and lock in early for more points.

Each round is a single season. It opens with one clue, usually the clubs that were promoted that year, and more clues are available: the top scorer, the clubs that went down, the champions and a famous debutant.

Pick a season with the stepper or the slider and lock it in whenever you feel sure. Every extra clue you take lowers the points on offer, from 100 for the first clue down to 20 for the last.

Close still counts. Exactly right earns all the points on offer, one season out earns half, two seasons out earns a fifth.

After each round you see every clue, a fact about the champions and the final league table for that season. Practice mode is an endless run of seasons from the era you choose.

Tips

  • The promoted clubs are a bigger clue than they look: work out when each of them was last in the top flight.
  • If you are torn between two seasons, guess the middle of your range. Being one out still banks half the points.
